Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz will present Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, who shattered records this year by becoming the longest-serving woman in the history of the House of Representatives, with the Key to the City during the 4 p.m., July 3 Toledo City Council meeting.

“It is my great honor to present the key to the city to Congresswoman Kaptur in recognition of her many years of service to our community and the nation,” Mayor Kapszukiewicz said. “She has been a consistent force for good and a champion for the people.”

Miss Kaptur is the Dean of the Ohio Delegation and senior Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee. She surpassed the record previously held by Rep. Edith Nourse Rogers (R-MA).
