Toledo Police Patrolman’s Association Contract Approved

Thursday, April 05, 2018

Toledo City Council today unanimously approved a new collective bargaining agreement with the Toledo Police Patrolman’s Association – the union representing Toledo’s police patrolman.

“This is a fair agreement with our police officers who work hard every day on behalf of their fellow citizens,” Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz said. “The new collective bargaining agreement makes Toledo more competitive with other cities, but more importantly, helps keep Toledo neighborhoods safe.”

The agreement grants a 1.5 percent base pay increase in January 2018, another 2.5 percent increase in January 2019, and a 3 percent increase in January 2020. To help control health care costs for taxpayers, the agreement increases the emergency room co-pay from $65 to $200.
