Mayor Kapszukiewicz Opened Ottawa Park Ice Rink and Announced Snowplow Naming Contest Winners
Mayor Kapszukiewicz ushered in the winter season with the opening of the Ottawa Park Ice Rink, the only open-air ice rink in NE Ohio and SE Michigan. Skaters and sled hockey team members were on hand to take a spin on the newly frozen ice.
“It's important for communities to have access to affordable and fun recreational activities, especially during the winter months,” Mayor Kapszukiewicz said.
The Mayor also thanked Tam-O-Shanter for their partnership in providing more fun on the ice.
“Skating and playing hockey is just the tip of the iceberg that Tam-O-Shanter will provide in expanding programming.” Mayor Kapszukiewicz said.

The City of Toledo announced an exciting new feature on their website that will allow residents to track City snowplows as they make their way down City streets this winter on a map, which will be live shortly.
Safety is our top priority, especially as residents travel on the roads during the winter.
This new tool will be helpful for residents to see when their street is expected to be cleared of snow so they can plan their travel accordingly.
