The City of Toledo has partnered with Toledo Public and Washington Local schools to provide internship opportunities for students of local high schools. The program is in the summer as a full-time opportunity and gives students the ability to network and gain knowledge in a career field that they might be interested in pursuing after finishing high school. Our hope is to fulfill the student’s education and career exploration needs while assisting the City of Toledo in new initiatives and day-to-day operations.

Program Structure

Students are partnered with a mentor that will provide guidance and support throughout the internship period.

• Eight weeks in the summer while students are out of school.
• Students will be part of a cohort and participate in round tables with other interns, senior leaders of the City including Mayor and members of City Council.
• Paid internship.
