Aug. 21 Parade for Olympian Oshae Jones Update

The parade to honor Olympian Oshae Jones, a Toledo native and bronze medal winner in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, will begin at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 21 at the intersection of Indiana and Junction avenues. The parade will move east on Indiana Avenue to City Park Avenue, where it will turn south. It will culminate with a celebratory event in Savage Park and the surrounding area.

Please note the parade starting point and route has been altered from the previously announced plans.

Ms. Jones won the Olympic bronze medal in the Women’s Welterweight Division, becoming the third American woman to medal in the sport of boxing. Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz bestowed the Key to the City to Ms. Jones on Aug. 16.
