Council Member Whitman was appointed as an At-Large Member of Toledo City Council in September 2020. She was elected and retained her seat in November of 2021. She is chair of the Neighborhoods & Community Development Committee and serves on the following Council Committees: Education, Recreation & Employment Committee, Health Promotion & Access Committee, Public Safety & Criminal Justice Reform, and the Water Quality & Sustainability Committee.
